weekend

My weekend was not too bad. I ended up doing another film shoot. It was a trailer promo. I had fun being the guy that got his ass kicked. It isn't every day you get your ass kicked so why not in a movie? The film was written from my friend, Jared, who is trying to pitch it to festivals around here and California. Hopefully, it goes some where. Any how, I normally do shoots on weekends while during the week I am in school. Other then that, I've just ended up watching some films.

On Friday, I saw the movie, "Appaloosa", starring Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen. It is a western film, directed by Ed Harris, based on 2 sheriffs who try to find a murderer that committed a multiple crimes. Yes, typical western but the dialogue was fantastic. You would think most western films would be boring but this one was one of the best I've seen in a while. Well, 3:10 to Yuma was not too bad either. Either way, it's worth a watch. The other film I saw was "Body of Lies".

Body of Lies, starring Leonardo Dicapprio and Russell Crowe, is about a CIA who creates an operation to track down a terrorist while risking his own life. He goes through a lot of atrocities in order to reach to him. He ends up being responsible for certain people's lives. So, as the movie continues, he starts to question and thinking that if he is even fighting for the Good guys, Americans, since they are the ones watching him and telling him what to do when the CIA agent feels he is not receiving any physical help. Any how, I don't want to give out the rest but it is worth watching. As always, Ridley Scott does his best when directing films. Dicapprio gave a phenominal performance, for playing the CIA agent.

Repitition

What can we say about life? Well, I find it very redundant. It amazes me how the process works. We're born, we doodle around for a couple of years until we hit the age 5 or 6. Our Hell begins with elementary, middle and high school. After that, we go to college, expecting to believe the myth that it will be the best years of our lives. I mean, we can do whatever the hell we want, right? You know, getting laid, smoking some dope and getting drunk until we pass out. I guess that's what goes on every weekend while we're at classes during the weekdays. As soon as we graduate from college, we get jobs and work our asses off. Again, the typical process of working 5 days a week and people partying on weekends. This goes on for another couple of years until you meet someone special, which will probably be the high light for most people's lives (not that it's a bad thing). However, anything can go wrong. Let's say you do get married and have kids. What if your husband or wife cheats on you? Then what are you going to do, get a divorce? I'm pretty sure you will. Or, what if you are interested in someone but find out later you knocked up some other random chick you slept with at a party. Of course, you had be drunk and it wasn't meant to happen, right? Wow, looks like you're screwed there. But wait, let's not forget for those who never find anyone and just work until the day they pass away. Hmm....
Ironically, I prefer to be the single guy but I wouldn't work to pay bills but focus on becoming rich or doing whatever you can keep your mind occupied. That's if I do end up being lonely, which won't happen...or, I hope not. Or, you can have someone special while being rich, which is as feasible as the other way around, but more responsibility.

Let's say the marriage does go well and you have kids. What ends up happening is life repeats itself over again. Everything you've done in your time is now passing on to the next generation. Ha, who needs history when you can have your life planted out for you( Sarcasm)?! Now, I don't know if this is considered a problem or it maybe it isn't. I guess I believe there's more to life than living chronologically. I'm not disputing about having a family and being a parent figure but it amazes me EVERYONE seems to become one around the same time. Is it because people do not want to be left behind? I guess I can understand but isn't life suppose to be different for everyone? I was always taught that if everyone is the same then life would be boring. Huh, funny how I say that.
