My weekend was not too bad. I ended up doing another film shoot. It was a trailer promo. I had fun being the guy that got his ass kicked. It isn't every day you get your ass kicked so why not in a movie? The film was written from my friend, Jared, who is trying to pitch it to festivals around here and California. Hopefully, it goes some where. Any how, I normally do shoots on weekends while during the week I am in school. Other then that, I've just ended up watching some films.
On Friday, I saw the movie, "Appaloosa", starring Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen. It is a western film, directed by Ed Harris, based on 2 sheriffs who try to find a murderer that committed a multiple crimes. Yes, typical western but the dialogue was fantastic. You would think most western films would be boring but this one was one of the best I've seen in a while. Well, 3:10 to Yuma was not too bad either. Either way, it's worth a watch. The other film I saw was "Body of Lies".
Body of Lies, starring Leonardo Dicapprio and Russell Crowe, is about a CIA who creates an operation to track down a terrorist while risking his own life. He goes through a lot of atrocities in order to reach to him. He ends up being responsible for certain people's lives. So, as the movie continues, he starts to question and thinking that if he is even fighting for the Good guys, Americans, since they are the ones watching him and telling him what to do when the CIA agent feels he is not receiving any physical help. Any how, I don't want to give out the rest but it is worth watching. As always, Ridley Scott does his best when directing films. Dicapprio gave a phenominal performance, for playing the CIA agent.
